About This Program
The S'dei Chemed Bar Mitzvah Experience is a transformative 3-week program in Israel for boys in grades 7 and 8, running June 29 – July 20, 2026. Centered in Yerushalayim with overnights in the north and south, the program culminates in a Bar Mitzvah celebration day in the Old City — davening at the Kotel with dancing and festivities. The itinerary includes Masada sunrise, a Kinneret boat ride, camel riding and a Bedouin experience, Chevron, the Dead Sea (Yam HaMelech), Ein Gedi, Kotel Tunnels, and the Temple Mount Sifting Project. Boys also participate in tefillin and tzitzis workshops and spend two Shabbosim in Tzfat and the Old City. Fathers and grandfathers are welcome to join for trip days. Morning learning sessions with rebbeim are included. Administered by Dovid Teitelbaum, Director of Camp S'dei Chemed International. Tuition is $4,500 plus $500 registration (flights not included).
